The Dragon’s Hoard

dragon-book

Vikings! Dragons! Zombies! Polar Bears! This is a collection of Viking stories, but possibly not the Viking stories you know. Loki and Odin make guest appearances, but this book is about Viking warriors and Viking sailors rather than Viking gods. The Viking sagas are the stories the Vikings told about themselves, about their battles, their voyages, their riddles and the magic they believed in. This collection contains retellings of my favourite Viking sagas, from Iceland, Orkney, Ireland, Denmark, North America and everywhere the Vikings sailed. I had a wonderful time researching it, Cate James has drawn amazing illustrations, and I am really enjoying sharing these Viking stories with lots of young Viking fans.
